For the love of cultural heritage – developing local museums in Finland

In her presentation, Marianne will examine the finnish local museum field, based on a statistical survey and a final report by a local museums committee, published in March 2012. She will discuss the measures proposed to develop and support the cultural heritage work done by local museums in Finland.

Marianne Koski (1978) studied Art History and Museology at the University of Jyväskylä. She is currently working at the Development Services at the National Board of Antiquities. She has also worked as a researcher in Lahti City Museum, providing support and advice to museums in the Päijät-Häme region.
