The Andalusian Space for Contemporary Creation (Espacio Andaluz de Creación Contemporána) is a new cultural institution promoted by the Regional Ministry of Culture of Andalusia and arises as a result of the changes carried out in the last two decades of the 20th century in the field of contemporary art creation. This new comprehensive and fully inclusive model will dedicate itself to the different lines of action and phases in which new contemporary art manifestations come into effect and begin to circulate. It will do so, by acting as a production centre, an exhibition space and research institute and by promoting activities that go beyond the exhibition model. It will combine this aspect with conferences, seminars, workshops and other events relating to live art and time-based arts, artistic manifestations associated with performance, sound art, moving images and those new hybrid, mutating processes that occur in the combination of contemporary creation and innovative technological devices. A single dynamic space that is in constant contact with the users. A point of reference on the map of international art creation.
