The Educational Service of the National Palace of Mafra has always promoted the approach to local institutions, favoring those that are dedicated to teaching. In this context, a relation  was developed with the  the scenic group of the Universidade Sénior of Mafra, who offered to boost the education programme of the Palace on May 18, 2008. It was this group that became the initial core of volunteers at the monument. Since then, the group and its intervention has been growing. Today we have a diversified group, with young people, who also undertakes other taskes, such as inventory.
